Washington, 28 ago (EFE).- Estados Unidos comenzó a retirar a los 5.000 militares desplegados en Afganistán para proteger el aeropuerto de Kabul, que fue objetivo el jueves de un ataque terrorista que fue reivindicado por el Estado Islámico (EI) y dejó decenas de muertos, incluidos 13 soldados estadounidenses.

El portavoz del Departamento de Defensa, John Kirby, quien confirmó este sábado el movimiento en respuesta a la pregunta de una periodista durante una rueda de prensa, rechazó ofrecer detalles exactos sobre el número de soldados que quedan en el aeródromo. EFE (I)
