Displaced Syrians who fled the conflict in Lebanon arrive in Idlib, northern Syria

Idlib (Syrian Arab Republic), 04/10/2024.- Syrian children, who fled the conflict in Lebanon with family, look on from a bus after arriving at Qah village, Idlib countryside, northwestern Syria, 04 October 2024. Syrian families who had been displaced to Lebanon at the beginning of the civil war in Syria, fled from Lebanon after the Israeli military strikes on Hezbollah targets. The UNHCR on 04 October said that over 185,000 people, mainly Syrians and Lebanese, have fled to Syria according to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) figures. Some 60 per cent of new arrivals are children and adolescents, and some of the children have arrived on their own, without family members, the UNHCR added.
